About Us

Believers Assembly of South Florida (BASF) was started in 1990 when a small group of like-minded people who were immigrants from India came together with the purpose of worshipping God and fellowshipping with each other. This humble ministry eventually grew from just a few families to over 30 families in attendance over the years.

The bylaws of BASF state the following as the purpose of our existence:

  1. To enable Christian believers, desirous of so doing, to congregate in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ as a local church, for religious, cultural, and other purposes

  2. To own, lease, and/ or otherwise maintain facilities suitable and appropriate for such purposes;

  3. To conduct religious services, teach and preach the Bible, and to administer the ordinances of the church; and

  4. To support and encourage, financially and otherwise, the preaching of the Gospel and establishment of churches, inside the U.S.A. and outside, this missionary interest of the Assembly being focused on the Indian subcontinent, but not limited hereto.
